lucid dreaming

I've never before written about my dreams. Untill this morning when i had a series of lucid dreams like never before. I woke up at 7am and wrote a few pages of what i still had left in my head and tried to express anything that sprung to mind. I was kind of planning at some point to get a live journal but this made me decide to write one so i might be able to see if anyone else has had similar stuff in thier dreams to this. I'm not going to edit what i wrote cause it'll take too long. I'm just going to copy everything i wrote this morning so i apoligise if it looks like im going off on a wild one. I've only had a few ever but they seem to be getting exponentially greater in frequency and intensity.(my first lucid dream was about a month ago....after reading this book entitled "Lucid Dreaming - a concise guide to awakening in your dreams and in your life" by a guy called Stephan Laberge. I don't think its so much the book as my subconscious being more able to identify when im dreaming and let me know about it because of the book....or something. Actually i don't have a clue what it is. This morning was the first time i've ever written about a dream and i've never even planned to do that sort of thing before.

7.05am sat 18th november 06

Had the most incredible lucid dreams. Lots of stuff, awesome stuff, fading away. I hope i remember.

Biggest memory: Slowly gliding through the city: lol i seemed to be unable to focus enough to fly easily so i had two birds which i took with me. They rested on each shoulder. Later they were cats......???!!! Soo strange - if they fell off i'd have to get them back on again because i'd slowly be going back down to the ground. I persisted and managed to get really high and the skyline very quickly faded to night-time. I saw satellites orbiting round and round a small point right up in the sky and i was as high up as these. I'd like to digress here about the satellites:

( I'm slightly disappointed as i was hoping lucid dreaming was really part of the physical world but just in a different dimension or something - but these satellites may prove it's just to do with my brain only, creating stimuli. I'll try to find out about stationary satellites as they may behave in the way i observed but i have doubts about that. )

I had many occasions where i thought i was waking up but actually it turned out after a while that i was just dreaming again. Every time i realised i'd start to explore things. I can't believe that i was going about my business and didn't realise it was a dream! There must be some part of the brain switched off or something before i'd not realise! I mean, i can say for sure i'm not dreaming now. I think!

Every new realisation of the fact i was dreaming made me(in my dream) think of "waking life".

In these lucid dreams i'd often realise while in the middle - like one memory is me hanging out with these two girls and a guy in a place, chatting, then deciding to go out for dinner. Midway through i realised i could float about. And then went off on a wild one! At the start of that one i did consider that it might be a lucid dream(not logically the way i would now be asking like "who are these people?!" - it all seemed to make sense at the time) Well, it wasn't so much "consider" as "wonder" whether it was a dream. Another thing i remember about that one is that i quite fancied one of the girls but i didnt't try to do anything with her because i was worried it might not actually be a dream.

I had loads of ridiculus chats with people. Not really about anything important if i can remember correctly. It's just ridiculus that i knew what was going on but just chatting away lol.

One of the dreams was me at a place for dinner and it was outside/sunny. Me and Matt were there chatting - i realised it was a dream and was chatting to Matt about that. And then something crazy happened - ecery movement i made would cause the lady on the table across from me to move! Eventually she was all twisted around and me and Matt were laughing at how my movements were knotting her up! This was the last time i went into a new dream. After this i woke up and wrote this.

Back to the dream where i was high up in the sky: i was too scared to go all the way into space. I did did get quite scared at points. A really lovely bit was flying through the city though.

Another dream: I didn't realise this was a dream for a while. I had sleep paralysis and i heard James arriving back into the flat. I kept trying to shout but only a little whimper was coming out. I "decided" as soon as it was over i was getting up and going to see James cause i was scared. When i got through i was just chatting to him etc. I can't remember how it happened but a bit later i was in his room with a couple of others and i heard a noise from down below. I looked out and it was these horrible guys shouting up horrible threats. I tried to wave at them to show no aggression but no luck. Later i realised the flat door for some reason didn't close and then saw them pulling up in their car. The short story is they got in found us and were pounding the shit out of me when i realised it must be a dream. Next thing i remember is being in the next dream. I also remember later being back to where their car was parked and commenting on what we should do to it etc. but everyone with me said they'd gone. Then we got into a white car. I didn't know any of these people!

Oh back to flying dream. At the end i found myself not being able to see where to go and next thing i was in a marsh listening to wild animal sounds and being a bit scared. Then i was at my friend back home dave's house. i Wish i had went in there.
